Loading Dock Trench Drain

A trench drain is the most logical solution to keep this dock from becoming full of water and simplifies the concrete construction.

In areas where there are larger trucks and more surface area water flow requires a reinforced drain that is at least 8 wide. When choosing a trench drain for loading docks ask yourself first. Looking closer during my visit i noticed the drain is a standard 12 wide foundry grate. All end caps adapters and outlets will work with our systems that you find here.

The standard truck dock height is 48 below finish floor of the building. If there is a lot of expected forklift traffic use a class e load bearing. Loading docks typically use 12 or 14 wide cast iron trench grates. Our 4 inch channel accessories are for use with any of our 4 inch internal channels.
